A Russian/meticulous manicure is manicuring technique that uses an electric file to remove the excess skin and cuticle around the nail plate. A Russian manicure is a cleaner manicuring method instead of using nippers and orange sticks to clean up cuticles, and if done correctly safer. During a Russian manicure, an e-file with special bits is used to clean up excess skin around the nail, leaving a smooth surface that will lend itself to long-lasting nail designs with minimal clean-up and cuticle pushing around the nail. This method is quicker but can cause permanent damage to the nail if not done correctly. In this class, you will learn all the techniques and best practices to do Russian manicures for your guests, all while keeping them safe.

In this all-day basics manicuring workshop, you will learn from a master nail art educator the secrets of doing a Russian manicure. You will learn about the various e-file tips you can use when doing a manicure and how to remove cuticles without harming your client’s nails. Working with nails with ridges or deformation can sometimes be tricky, but it is not impossible; learn the professional secrets we use to give a beautiful look nails with deformities. You will learn how to shape natural nails for a beautiful look and prevent breakage. You will also learn how to apply polish perfectly and how to remove it with ease.
This class will have some amazing bonus materials. We’ll show you how to do a structured manicure, ombre with gel polish, and give tips for taking pictures that capture every detail to help promote your new skills!

- eFile (Can be provided if you don’t own one)
- Unmanicured product free nails (you will be your model - untouched cuticles are a must)
- Must be licensed or enrolled in a course to get licensed
